What Makes HYPOFIX™ Different?

At the heart of the HYPOFIX™ system is Piroctone Olamine — a clinically supported antifungal and antimicrobial agent. Used widely in dermatology, it works by chelating iron in fungal cells, which disrupts their cellular metabolism and reproductive cycle. This makes it effective against common nail-related pathogens like dermatophytes and malassezia, without compromising the integrity of the natural nail.  
  
This proactive approach means HYPOFIX™ helps create an unfriendly environment for pathogens, making it a smart, preventative choice, especially for clients prone to issues around the toes or those recovering from damaged nails.  

Step One: HYPOFIX™ Primer

Our HYPOFIX™ Primer is a fast-evaporating liquid designed to prep the nail plate whilst conditioning and cleansing. This primer helps reduce the risk of fungal development and supports long-term nail health.  

Key Actives & Benefits:  
Piroctone Olamine – A gentle but effective antifungal and antimicrobial agent that disrupts fungal growth cycles at a cellular level. Used in anti-dandruff and skin treatments for its clinical efficacy and mildness.  
Ethyl Acetate & Isopropyl Alcohol – Fast-drying solvents that cleanse and degrease the nail plate, creating a clean, balanced surface whilst aiding penetration of active ingredients.  
BIS-HEA Poly(1,4-Butanediol)-9/IPDI Copolymer – A film-forming and conditioning agent that leaves a breathable layer over the nail, helping lock in actives whilst adding flexibility and strength to damaged or thinning nails.  

Step Two: HYPOFIX™ Repair Serum

The HYPOFIX™ Repair Serum has been designed to finish the service by hydrating, soothing and reinforcing the nail and cuticle. The nail treatment serum is lightweight and packed with powerful actives to restore wellness to the nail bed and surrounding skin.  

Hero Ingredients:  
  • Panthenol (Pro-vitamin B5) – Soothes, hydrates, and supports skin barrier function.  
  • Biotin (Vitamin B7) – Essential for keratin strength, supports nail thickness and resilience.  
  • Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E) – Antioxidant protection that supports skin and nail structure.  
  • Tea Tree Oil – Naturally antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory.  
  • Caffeine – Helps boost microcirculation and calm inflammation.  

How to Use HYPOFIX™

HYPOFIX™ APPLICATION:

  1. After prepping the nail, apply a thin layer of HYPOFIX™ Primer.  
  2. Allow to air dry for 60 seconds — you should see a subtle sheen when it’s ready.  
  3. Apply BIAB™ or gel as usual and cure according to product instructions.  
  4. Once the set is complete, apply HYPOFIX™ Repair Serum to finish the treatment.  

HYPOFIX™ APPLICATION — INFILLS:

 Reapply HYPOFIX™ Primer to any new nail growth to maintain protection and help prevent the development of any future fungal concerns.  

HYPOFIX™ APPLICATION — REMOVALS:

Follow your usual removal process with TGB Acetone. HYPOFIX™ is compatible with all standard gel/BIAB™ soak-offs. 

HYGIENE TIP:  
The formula does not support fungal survival, so there’s no need to change the brush after each use. However, for extra peace of mind, you can sanitise the brush by dipping it into pure isopropyl alcohol between clients. 

When to Introduce HYPOFIX™

This system is ideal for:  

  • Clients with sensitive, troubled or damaged nails  
  • During pedicure prep, to help prevent fungal development  
  • Post-acrylic or over-filing recovery   
  • To reset nails between BIAB™ or gel treatments  

It can also be introduced during client consultations to proactively address concerns such as flaking, discolouration, or weakness.
