Hard BIAB™ is your new best friend. Combining the strength of a hard gel with the ease of BIAB™, this file-off formula is perfect for long nail overlays, sculpted extensions and repairing broken nails.

Hard BIAB™ Explained and Why It Deserves a Place in Your Kit

If you’re a nail tech, you’ve probably heard the buzz about Hard BIAB™... but what actually makes it different? And why should you add it to your nail kit? Let’s break it down in a way that’s fun, easy to digest, and most importantly, useful for your day-to-day work.

What is Hard BIAB™? Hard Gel vs BIAB™

Think of Hard BIAB™ as the lovechild of BIAB™ and hard gel. It has the strength of a hard gel, but the easy application you already know and love from BIAB™. The twist? It’s a file-off formula with a built-in base for improved retention, giving nails that extra durability and perfect for clients who push their length a little further.

How is it Different from Original & All In One BIAB™?

  • Original BIAB™: Great for overlays on short to mid-length nails. Soak-off formula. The OG that’s designed to perfect the natural nail.
  • All-In-One BIAB™: Same as Original, but with 50% less HEMA for sensitive clients. Soak-off formula and perfect for short to mid-length overlays.
  • Hard BIAB™: Built for long overlays and extensions, with the toughness of hard gel but applied straight from the bottle. It’s file-off, not soak-off, so it gives advanced strength.

In summary: If you client prefers short nails, go for Original or All-In-One. If they opt for long nails or sculpted extensions, Hard BIAB™ is your best friend.

What Can You Use Hard BIAB™ For?

  • Overlays on longer nails that need more strength.
  • Sculpting extensions (when clients want that extra length).
  • Repairing or fixing broken nails that need extra durability.

It’s versatile, reliable, and gives you options for those clients who want more.

Application – Step by Step

  1. Prep the natural nail – file, shape, and cuticle work.
  2. Apply a base layer of Rubber Base or HEMA-Free Bond Base and cure for 99 seconds on Low Heat Mode.
  3. Apply a thin layer of Hard BIAB™ and cure for 99 seconds on Low Heat Mode.
  4. Build your structure — apply a small bead of Hard BIAB™ and float it across the nail to create apex and strength.
  5. Cure in your TGB lamp for 99 seconds on Low Heat Mode.
  6. Refine & finish — file if needed, then apply colour or top coat.

Remember – it’s a file-off formula, so removal done is by filing down to your base layer and then soaking with Soak Away. Hard BIAB™ can be paired with TGB Base Coats for easier removals.

Meet the Shades

Why You Need Multiple Formulas in Your Kit

Not all clients are the same and not all nails are either! By having Original, All-In-One, and Hard BIAB™ at your station, you can:

  • Cater to both short and long nails.
  • Support sensitive clients (low HEMA or HEMA-Free).
  • Offer overlays, repairs, and full-on extensions.

It’s about having the right tool for the job, and Hard BIAB™ fills that gap for advanced strength and durability.
